Facial eczema, or eczema on face, is a common chronic skin disease that results to redness, scaling and flaking of the epidermis. Also known as seborrheic dermatitis, this skin disorder occurs on the face and the body. It often involves white flaking of the scalp, which is commonly known as dandruff. Though facial eczema is a common skin disease by people around the world, it is still a situation that is challenging to treat.

Some people find that their skin benfits from anti-dandruff shampoo. You could also apply an over the counter hydrocortisone cream to the inflamed areas of the skin. Moisturizing is good for all forms of eczema. Because the facial skin is thin and there can also be acne issues, it's important to use products that won't create any pore clogging. This means to look for products designed for sensitive skin.

Try to get enough sleep as you can. Studies suggest that facial eczema shows up when you are deprived of adequate sleep. Also, try to minimize getting yourself stressed or, better yet, find a better way to handle stress. Facial eczema is deemed to occur more often on people who are subjected to constant stress and pressure.

Start a combination of natural supplements. It is suggested by medical professionals that the combination of vitamins, zinc, biotin, and flaxseed oil can be helpful on treating facial eczema. Whatever else you decide to do, make sure to apply lanolin and fragrance-free moisturizer to the affected surface areas of the skin as well, several times a day. This will prevent excessive drying and flaking of the skin.

Check for food allergies and reactions to fabrics that touch your skin. Look at the type of pillow case you use, laundry detergent that is touching your bedding and the pillows on your bed. Be aware that being in the sun can dry out your skin which can aggravate cases of eczema.
